No trip would be complete to Ireland without a visit to the famous cliffs of Moher. The cliffs rise 400 ft above the Atlantic, and reach their maximum height of 702 ft just north of O’Brien’s Tower. The cliffs boast one of Ireland’s most spectacular views. On a clear day the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay, as are the valleys and hills of Connemara. If you are brave enough to venture beyond the main tourist area fenceline, there are many trails that follow along the line of the cliffs and provide an amazing nature walk and unparalleled views. This walk is not for the faint of heart.
