Malin Head is the most northerly point of the Irish mainland. A wonderful hiking path starts at Tower Hill, named for a signal tower built during the Napoleonic Wars, and follows the coastline, passing Hell’s Hole and ending at stunning cliffs of Malin Head. This spot was also the filming location for several scenes in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Our visit to the Malin Head was on windy, overcast day. The sign for the walking path said \"Hell\'s Hole\" that way....
Self portrait in front of the sea cavern known as Hell\'s Hole. A great hike for my sister and I. It was worth the drive up to this remote part of Donegal, despite the cloudy weather, rain, and fog.

The windswept terrain was beautiful. Tower Hill can be seen in the distance in the upper left hand corner.
