For a number of years, I adopted a neighborhood pond as my photographic muse. Being a short walk from the house, it was a readily available place to experiment with light, colors, reflections, and textures. My favorite time at the pond is during winter sunsets, when snow and ice transform the land and water, and leafless trees let the colors of the sky stream through their canopy.
When the conditions are right, an ordinary drainage pond can transform into a thing of ever-changing beauty. This portfolio is a small sampling of my many walks down to Wellington Pond.
