Devils Hopyard State Park was a welcome sanctuary from the stresses of the Coast Guard Academy for me. Weekend trips out to the park with my friends helped us to deal with the daily grind we all experienced as cadets. I tried to capture some of the beauty and magic of the place on a return visit one year during a CGA reunion. The highpoints of the location are the wooden covered bridge and the falls, along with the wonderful winding forest road that you must take to reach the spot.
