The fireworks on the National Mall in Washington D.C. on the 4th of July is one of America’s great celebrations. Launched near the Reflection Pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument, a great location for photographing the fireworks is from lawn next to the Iwo Jima Marine Corps Memorial in Arlington, Virginia. From this vantage point, you can capture the colorful show in the sky over the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the U.S. Capitol Building.
