I was lucky enough to spend a half day with Charly Moore from Overland Canyon Tours in the slot canyon called Canyon X, a smaller, less visited part of the greater Antelope Canyon area. Canyon X was beautifully shaped and lit up in amazing… shades of reflected light. On this day, it also had some amazing light beams, which only show up for a short time during the mid day sun during the month of June. Since I was the only other person on this tour with Charly, it was a very relaxed time to explore the Canyon and experiment with the camera, and Charly gave me some great instruction on shooting in a slot canyon.
