It was cold and extremely windy sunrise on Aguereberry Point, even though it would be near 100 degrees later that day in Death Valley. The mountaintop here provides some great panoramic views. The early morning light on the landscape was beautiful.

One of our workshop guides working on an image from the windblown crest. It was definitely one of those times when you have to hold your tripod down to keep it steady. Too cold to handle with your bare hands due to the windchill. It was an excellent test of my North Face fleece liner gloves, which kept my hands toasty warm.

Looking north, down Death Valley toward Stovepipe Wells. The clouds and mountains were catching the first warm rays of sunrise.
